Robinson Roofers wants everybody to be able to use this website, whatever device they use and however they browse. This statement explains what we have done and what to do if something does not work for you.
What we aim for
This website has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, and to meet our duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010.
What that means in practice
- Every part of the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the item you are on is always clearly outlined.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
- Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are described in words next to the field they relate to.
- Images carry alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers.
- Headings are used in order, so a screen reader can navigate the structure of a page.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
- The cookie banner can be operated by keyboard, moves focus to itself when it opens, and never traps you inside it.
- The site works at 400 per cent zoom and on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Where a document or a photograph is added to the site after launch, its alternative text depends on it being entered at the time of upload. If you find an image without a useful description, or anything else that is hard to use, please tell us and we will put it right.
